Subic Bay/ Phillipines

Grande Island was a short boat ride from Subic Bay and was a fortress to watch the Subic Bay area during World War II.  When I was in that area the island was used as a retreat area for those stationed at Subic.    Today Grande Island is still being used as a tourist attraction.

Information on Olongapo City & Subic Bay

Olongapo City was a frequent off-duty spot for sailors in Subic. The Jeepney's I rode on were not as fancy as today's version.  Some even have air conditioning!

Below are a couple of shots from Bunuan, in the Phillipines Islands that show the beauty of many areas of that Island country.
